I've been journaling our vacation to Washington recently. If you missed part 1 last week, head over here to check it out!
During our stay in Anacortes, we got coffee and took the early morning ferry over to Friday Harbor for a day of exploring! The kids enjoyed the ferry ride. but I'm pretty sure that Trevor LOVED it. (I have never seen someone so excited to drive a minivan through a boat and there's a video to prove it!)
just a few snapshots
Some of our favorites in Friday Harbor
There's this ADORABLE kids shop with local goods (think fun t-shirts) and lots of items revolving around orcas.
The Bean Cafe - they make their own salted caramel and it is so good!
Sunken Park - if you have antsy kiddos, go here! It's in the main town area, just a few blocks to the left of the main road.
The cute lighthouse - I don't remember exactly where on the island this was, but we found some interesting historical material nearby. Apparently there was once a turf war here between the Americans and British over someone killing someone else's pig. IDK. Trevor tells the story better. For more info visit here.
